Edmonton Fall Classic 2018

November 10th-11th, 2018

Location: Clareview Recreation Center Arena “A”
3804 139 Ave NW, Edmonton AB (Google Map)
Eligible Skaters: Any SSC registered skating in the Active Start, FUNdamentals, L2T, and T2T (11-14 females, 12-15 males) on 100m track;

Open Class on 111m track (Juniors, Seniors, Masters, Special Olympics)

FUNd & L2T ranked on 200m times; T2T ranked on each of the distances times; Open Class ranked on 500m times

L2T skaters who request to move up must meet 1 of the following time standards: 400m 0.4800 or 1500m 3.200 or 3000m 6.500

Sanction: AASSA & SSC Sanctioned (applied)
What: T2T Single Distance – Ability Divisions – Separate Genders and including L2T that meet time requirements.
Events:  200m, 400m, 1500m, 3000m or 2000m pointsOpen/L2T/FUNd/Active Start/Special Olympics– Mixed Gender Ability Divisions
Distances/ Events will be determined based on the number and ability of registrants.Special O event is a qualifier for the 2019 Winter Games.
Time: Saturday and Sunday morning L2T and Special O
Saturday and Sunday afternoon T2T
Preliminary Schedule Coaches meeting: 7:00 am on Saturday Nov 10th; will be held other days only if needed
T2T (NOTE: schedule may adjust depending on final numbers):

  • Saturday warm-up approx.12:45pm, racing ends approx. 7:30pm
  • Sunday warm-up approx. 12:00pm, racing ends approx. 6pm

L2T and SpO and Open (NOTE: schedule may adjust depending on final numbers):

  • Saturday warm-up 7:30am, racing ends 12:30pm
  • Sunday warm-up 7:30am, racing ends 12:00pm

Final schedule will be sent to coaches.

Entry Fees: $65 T2T Skaters
$60 All Other Skaters

Registrations will be capped this year.
RAMP registration  https://www.calgaryspeedskating.ca/perform/meets/
Alberta, NWT and Yukon early registrations due by October 12th
Registration will then open to all other provinces

Entry Deadline: Thursday, November 1st, 2018 @ 9:00PM – Absolutely no late entries will be accepted.
Registration: 6:45 AM Saturday in Arena Lobby
Volunteers: Out of town volunteers greatly appreciated

On-Site Food: There will be food/drink available for officials, volunteers and coaches.
